About Ghana
Ghana is located on the Western Coast of Africa by the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Guinea. The local currency is the Ghana cedi. Ghana is among the worlds top 10 growing economies. Some of the main industries are gold, diamonds, cocoa and oil with Ghana being the second largest gold and cocoa producer on the continent. Ghana moved towards a democracy in the early 90’s and is one of the top African countries for freedom of speech and press freedom.

Ghana has experienced an average GDP growth of 6.8% over the last 10 years. There are about 50 languages spoken in different parts of the country but English is the official language spoken by the majority of the population.
