We are looking for an experienced investment promotion practitioner, with strong business development, lead generation and aftercare skills and experience. Strong networks with South African multinational cooperation’s and SMEs are a must. Extensive knowledge of the South African business and economic landscape is required. The candidate also must demonstrate experience in working with international clients. Experience working in the Sub-Saharan region will be advantageous. Public sector knowledge will be an added advantage. With managerial experience and strong administrative skills. 

The Investment Promotion Manager will be working closely with our teams across the continent and will be client facing. Will be expected to facilitate FDI flows between (South) Africa and global destinations; especially Asia. The candidate will also be expected to nurture the South African market and generate leads of companies that have the ambition to grow pan-Africa.

  • Develop business development strategy for the company

  • Identify key markets/sectors/companies  
  • Networking and marketing  
  • Successfully concluded a bachelor’s degree program. Masters’ graduates will be given preference   
  • Min. five years’ experience in investment promotion and min. two years in a managerial position 
  • Strong network and relations with South African businesses, business chambers and industry associations 
  • Proven experience working with international clients 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude for learning new software and systems 
  • You have strong interpersonal skills
