Period of Project: Fixed (full-time) for 6 months, with potential for full-time engagement based on performance
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing projects spanning multiple sectors and geographies. This role is ideal for a professional with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data-driven work. The Research Assistant will work closely with project teams to gather, analyze, and synthesize data and contribute to high-impact deliverables.
Responsibilities
Sector Knowledge:
- Support the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research activities
- Conduct desk research, literature reviews, and stakeholder mapping
Data Management & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and organize data for analysis
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and policy briefs
- Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
Project Support
- Provide support for research-related activities
- Assist in coordinating interviews, focus groups, and fieldwork
Qualifications and Experience
Professional Experience:
- Master’s degree from an internationally reputable institution
- At least 3 years of relevant research experience in multiple sectors across the continent.
- Experience with data analysis tools.
Key Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and market briefs through thorough research and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Fluency in English (French is a plus).
