Period of Project: Long term assignment, fixed for 12 months, renewable based on performance
This initiative aims to secure funding and resources to support the integration of agricultural produce into nutrition programs in East and North Africa. The Grant & Resource Mobilization Consultant will identify funding opportunities, facilitate partnerships, and develop strategies for resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in grant writing, fundraising, and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Funding Identification: Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
- Proposal Development: Prepare high-quality grant proposals and resource mobilization strategies tailored to specific funding opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources.
- Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process for project resources, ensuring compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on funding opportunities, proposals submitted, and resources mobilized.
Qualifications and Experience
The consultant should have the following qualifications and competences:
Sector Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of international grant writing and resource mobilization in the context of nutrition programs.
- Familiarity with the African funding landscape, including key donors and funding agencies.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling grant writing and resource mobilization projects.
- Proven track record of successfully securing funding for similar initiatives.
- Experience in procurement processes related to project implementation.
Key Competencies:
- Strong communication and Presentation skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and market briefs.
- Fluency in English.
