Period of Project: Long term assignment, fixed for 24 months.

This initiative aims to support a regional expansion initiative focused on enhancing operational footprint, strategic partnerships, and effective project delivery across Africa. The consultant will provide expertise in regional development, market entry strategies, institutional representation, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen housing and infrastructure interventions on the continent.

Responsibilities 

  • Funding Identification: Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare high-quality grant proposals and resource mobilization strategies tailored to specific funding opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process for project resources, ensuring compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on funding opportunities, proposals submitted, and resources mobilized.

Qualifications and Experience

The consultant should have the following qualifications and competences: 

Sector Knowledge: 

  • Strong understanding of Africa’s housing and infrastructure financing landscape.

Professional Experience: 

  • Advanced degree in public policy, development finance, urban planning, international relations, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in regional development, institutional expansion, or multilateral operations.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, government negotiations, and project development.

Key Competencies: 

  • Strong communication and Presentation skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports and market briefs.
  • Fluency in English and French
